Aussie VeeDubbers is Australia's answer to The Samba, it's a forum based site that has a lot of users and a lot of traffic and seems to be the hub of the Aussie VW scene. The people there are pretty helpful and friendly and as you would expect are a down to earth bunch. If you're in Australia and you haven't checked it out, pay it a visit.
The Samba is a VW site for all VW enthusiasts, it is message board driven and has lots of categories for all sorts of stuff. My favourite has to be the 'rants and raves' section - reading some of the stuff that is posted on there has me in stitches sometimes. Well worth a visit.

Worth a look if you're considering a Type 4 into Type 3 conversion or fitting EFI.
Shoptalk Forums is one of the best sites on the net I've found for technical info on both the type 4 engine and turbo-charging. Outlaw Flat Four is a club started to promote flat 4 powered drag racing in the UK. All members are either racers or associate with drag racing in the UK. The focus is on heads-up racing between cars powered by VW engines capable of running 12.99 and faster. The site keeps a list of current club records on a per member and overall basis. As the rules state that cars need to be VW powered you will also see some other non-VW cars such as Peter Englezos' Fiat 500 and Lee Maynard's Renault Dauphine. Well worth a look.
