I've had quite a good weekend as far as progress goes, I put some shelves up in the garage and cleared the stuff that was stored in the car out. I found the keys for the car that I thought I had lost, as well as made some progress on the car.
I managed to get the sunroof in and working, I made some front guide / slide mounts from aluminium and checked everything was working okay. Then as I was sorting through some boxes I discovered that I already had a pair of the guides.
It would seem that I managed to get hold of some from somewhere (which is great news) but had completely forgotten both the fact that I had them and who I got them from (which is not good news). So, in my old age, I seem to have developed acute memory loss.......... tsk
The brackets need the plastic slidy part replaced as they are missing - which I will do next weekend.
I also managed to clean the door lock mechanisms and fit the passenger side lock and door handle in place. I fitted the striker plate and the rubber alignment blocks, the passenger door opens and closes as it should.
I've removed the pins from the drivers door hinges and now just need to ream them out and bush them.
Also, apart from sorting though endless boxes of parts looking for stuff, I've stripped down and removed the paint from the front fresh air vent boxes, these are currently in primer waiting for the top coat, hopefully I'll get them finished for next weekend when I can reassemble them and fit them.
All and all not a bad weekends work.
